I nailed down these character concepts and storylines together. I then earned the right to fall asleep.
On the next day, I went to work at The Drabble-Rouser.
“Hello, may I suggest some excellent books for you?” I asked a customer.
“No, but I know what I’m looking for. Thank you.” they answered.
What a disappointment. I still smiled and let them browse around. Once again, my suggestions were unheeded.
As they browsed around, the boss came up to check on me.
“How’s everything going, Sylvester?”
“Just fine. Nothing too abnormal today.” I answered.
“So how about those books you’ve been working on?” He asked.
“Good question. I finished the first draft of my little novel.” I flashed a grin as it was the first exciting question I was asked today.
“Really, now? What’s the story, Sylvester?”
