Sure, I’ve been a part of different events, but I was never the main attraction. Then again, some people could say otherwise as I remembered when I was at some small conventions in Hollandus Landing.
My mind took me to the Hollandus Literature Fair where I was adorned in older clothes.
“Are you supposed to be Alexander Hamilton?”
“No, I’m Algernon from The Importance of Being Earnest.” I corrected an attendee. “Relax, I won’t be Bunburying away from anyone here.” Barely anyone got the joke. I thought people actually read things.
It would be funny if people dressed up like characters at events like these, but I have a feeling that it would only be comic book characters or cartoons though.
What a shame.
