Truffaut Is Facepalming

“I got it!” declared the film director. “I’ll make an anti-drug movie! That’ll show all those tobacco companies.”

He got to work for three months getting the actors, filming the scenes, and went into post-production.

The film then gets released to a mainstream audience. Box office numbers were abysmal. Critics ranted about how bad the acting was and how the overall message was too preachy for it’s own good.

Adversely, tobacco sales skyrocket after people viewed this film and drug-related crimes go up.

“What have I done?” The director laments.
