They were going to make a movie and be as faithful to my intellectual property at the same time? This was a rusted pipe dream come true.

Next, I got letters to adapt my story into a play. That was insane. I couldn’t imagine anyone adapting my works.

In a matter of years, they came to fruition.

Watching my own characters on the silver screen was surreal like I was transported into a far flung dimension. I applauded their efforts for getting my story right even though it wasn’t scene-for-scene. I understood some changes had to be made.

What a time to be alive…
