“Some of these planets are roughly the same size as earth.” I continued. “It’s too soon to tell, but there could be a chance they could have water there. That’s not even getting into some of them orbiting around stars the size of our sun.”
I lectured on with these exoplanets to the kids and everyone had their eyes peeled to what they were learning.
“Your next project will be to find any known exoplanet, the star it orbits around, and how it compares and contrasts with any planet in our solar system.” I assigned this little project for them. “However, this won’t just be some craft project for a science fair. I want you to present it as if you were an ambassador from that planet.”
