“Really? You mean it?” Her timid voice showed again.
“Yes, I do. I know I’m a jerk to people, but at least I’m not a lying jerk.” I told her.
“Wow. No one’s ever apologized about bullying me in my life.” Her eyes pierced mine. “I’m not sure how I feel about this.”
“Look, I wouldn’t be surprised if you don’t accept my apology, but I wanted to extend an olive branch as cliche as it sounds.” I said.
“If you’re really that honest, then I forgive you.”
There was a weight removed from my shoulders.
