It also felt strange studying and working thousands of miles away from home as I tried to get my Bachelor’s Degree at Leyden Avalon.
Sometimes I felt isolated, but I certainly couldn’t complain about seeing the Springtime in April compared to where I was from.
My days consisted of school and work most days since I had to save up for tuition since my scholarships wouldn’t pay for everything here.
I just needed that drive to get that degree as I vowed to work hard to make my dreams come true.
That IS the American way, right?
