I shook my head. “No, I expected one thing, but it ended up being another. I’m sorry.”
I left the club as shame filled my heart. I knew I wouldn’t be good enough to do anything artistic like that.
This vagabond certainly won’t become a legend anytime soon. It was one of the few times my smile was ripped from my face when dealing with adversity.
Oh, right. I’m used to it all anyway.
