All I wanted was to make an honest living after leaving Lusaka and going all the way to Leyden Avalon University years ago.

I didn’t care that I didn’t come from money or a wealthy country.

I had to get good grades and network out there. I wasn’t going to get this opportunity back at home (no offense to my compatriots).

Once RWO hired me, I thought I had my future made.

Disillusionment settled in.

Even before hearing the truth about my employers, I learned that this wasn’t a meritocracy.
