It then came to that day where I met up with all my bandmates in downtown.
We got things set up like acoustic guitars, hand drums, tambourines, and a melodica to use instead of a keyboard. I half-expected someone to ask us to cover “Clint Eastwood” by Gorillaz is they have any musical knowledge by seeing that last instrument.
I began to introduce us to the passersby in this crisp spring day.
“Hey, we’re The Originator’s Fury, and we’re going to do some unplugged songs for you.”
We kicked it off with an acoustic rendition of “Buffalo Graveyard” for something high-energy.
Then, a familiar face recognized that song and us.
