I was blissful singing while back up vocalists filled out the harmonies to my phenomenal voice.
Then, it became sharper than cheddar once we got to the bridge.
“Okay. Stop! Stop! Let’s redo that bridge again!” I ordered my band and entourage.
“Why, what’s up?” The drummer said to my headset since he wore one, too.
“I wasn’t hitting that note one that bridge.” I then directed my attention to my sound guy in the tech booth. “Hey, can you give me a safety net if I screw up live?”
“Will do.” The sound guy replied.
He knew what I meant by safety net to make sure this never ever happened again.
