This was such an exciting day for me. After four years of struggling through, I finally proved that I could get my bachelor’s degree.
It was certainly a celebration at the auditorium as each of the soon-to-be-former undergrads finally get their diploma after their years of hard work and studying.
The faculty finally got to the S’s when it came to student’s last names. Everyone who shared the same last initial as me got up, lined up, and walked on stage.
I waited anxiously and it slowly became my time.
“Lindita Florina Selmani.”
The announcement of my full name was satisfying. Just as I was about to reach for the diploma and shake hands, that’s when I heard the explosion.
