There was a burden that lifted, but I knew that it was a Pyrrhic victory or at least one that’s quite incomplete.
Jonathan got up and limped a bit.
“Jonathan, are you okay?” I ran up to him and asked him. I never thought that I would be this noticing of him since we didn’t talk all that much until he revealed this secret.
“My arm hurts like crap, but I think I can handle it.” He winced. “Although I could never be as brave as you for tackling a killer robot like Garth Junior or Omicron or whatever his product name is.”
I shook my head. “No, I was being stupid. You were brave. If you didn’t report that note, he wouldn’t have been taken away.”
It was truth and unity right now despite the people getting hurt. My mural would never be able to compete with this.
I just hope that everyone involved in these tragedies faces justice in the end.
