Once I got outside, I saw the third largest city in my home state quickly became a ghost town. Buildings were evaporated from their foundations without a trace.
There were no people screaming around and the vehicles were empty. The cityscape looked like the cleanest form of devastation with no boarded up houses, burn marks, or broken down things.
That was the eeriest form of destruction I’ve ever seen in my life. It was a mass disappearance with everyone and everything.
Perhaps the unstable nature of Exomoon revealed something to me.
Maybe they weren’t dead, but they went to the places where we extracted the resource from.
