There was a small book in her hands that used one of my illustrations on the cover.
“Gateway To The Empyrean: A short story Anthology by Corinne Glaisyer.”
“No way! I was wondering why you asked about using my galleon illustration back then.” I said.
“Of course. That ship looked perfect for the feel of my shorter works.” Corinne explained. “I went the self-publishing route with that one.”
“That’s awesome!” I opened it and saw a note by the table of contents.
“Cover illustration by Hosea Breckenridge…Thanks for helping me soar.”
We both hugged after I read that in the inscription.
