“Corinne, you’re not going to believe this.” I started this conversation with her.
The leaves were falling and making the ground a vivid red like they did this time every year. I wish Maryland Autumns were as beautiful as the ones up here.
“What is it?” Corinne sat right next to me as we were on the bench in the heart of downtown Rutland. We caught some peepers who flocked here from the rest of America to witness the splendor of Vermont falls. They were gazing at the leaves as if they’d never seen them before.
“Check this out.” I handed her a formal letter and she read it to herself.
“Oh my god! Congratulations! I never knew you were going to do that.” She congratulated me.
“Neither did I at first, but it made sense.” I explained. “Granted, I had to get a TON of scholarship money to pull that off though.”
“That’s good. I also have some news for you, too.” She then whispered something great in my ear.
