Day 4: Favorite antagonist you wrote?
This is an easy question for this challenge. My answer is none other than Astranna from the Revezia series. When I started writing Shattered Crowns years ago, I was excited to write a villainess like her. Astranna is a brutal deconstruction and inversion of the evil witch archetype. She’s drop dead gorgeous, likes beauty above everything, looks like she’s in her late 20s even though she’s over a century old, and extremely powerful in her magic. She has a bad habit of torturing more “traditional” witches and will slaughter people who are ugly in her eyes or don’t follow their end of the deal when she grants someone’s witches. There was even a stealth pun where she has taxidermy involving stuffed bodies of a dragon and a giant octopus in her palace. Think about it for a second.
